Fetish pages and clams FAQ

Our plans for awarding clams are the following. We expect to implement these in Q3 2020.

Buying stuff

(Not yet implemented)

We award clams when you buy stuff – buy a new subscription, rebill on an existing subscription, buy a new PPS Wallet account, or top-up a PPS Wallet account.

Spending purchased credit

(Not yet implemented)

We also award clams when you spend credit you bought, for example, buying scenes on your PPS account.

Accepted fetish page nominations

(Not yet implemented)

When someone makes a Fetish Page Proposal, you can nominate media that meets their specification, in addition to what that user proposed. This helps other users visualise what the Fetish is about, meaning it’s likely to attract more clam-votes from other users – and thus, get made into an official Fetish Page.

The original Fetish Page proposer reviews your nominations for inclusions. If they are accepted, you get some clams – a small amount for each entity that you nominate that is accepted.

We acknowledge that two users can collude to earn clams – that’s fine if the material they’re gathering is relevant and valuable to the Proposal. Abuse (for example, stuffing a proposal with redundant or irrelevant content) will not be tolerated and may result in automatically awarded clams being deducted, or temporary / permanent removal from the Clams program.

Propose a new fetish page idea by clicking the green button on the Fetish Proposals page.

We check your idea to ensure it does not already exist (to reduce duplication, it’s usually better to build on an existing idea, than to make a sliiiiightly different idea), but we leave that decision up to you.

We ask you to propose some entities (Shoots, Images, Models, Video Snippets) that illustrate your proposal. More (good) examples will ensure more people vote for your idea, so don’t hold back. But, be sure to check What are some considerations to selecting media for a fetish page proposal?

It works like this:

Each month, customers are given clams to vote with (clams can also be earned).

Customers use clams to vote-up their preferred fetish page proposals. Site admins and customers can propose new fetish page ideas.

The more votes a fetish page proposal gets, the more likely it is to be created by site admins. See the current fetish proposals, organised as a leaderboard.

Cast your clam votes carefully! All for one fetish? One each for several fetishes? You decide!

Once a fetish page proposal is adopted by site admins (based on its votes) and a real fetish page is made, everyone gets their clams back to vote on other proposed fetish pages.

Clams are tokens people can spend on things on the abbywinters.com site.

We use the word “clams” because clams used to be used as commodity money in some cultures (more info), and is still used as slang for “money” today in some cultures.

How do I get clams?

On the first of each month, all users are awarded a three clams (kind of like a Universal Basic Income). In April 2020 when we launched the system, all users were awarded 10 clams.

In the future, we plan to give clams out for various actions (for example, buying a PPS scene, rebilling, attending a Private Playdate, proposing a new fetish page that other users vote on with their own clams, and similar). More info.

Unspent clams accrue over the life of your membership.

How do I spend clams?

In early 2020, the only way to spend clams is by voting on Fetish page proposals. See the current list of proposals. Learn more about making a fetish page proposal yourself.

In the future, we plan to add other ways to spend clams, including voting for models to appear in more shoots, free PPS scene tokens, weeks of free site access, and similar.

Are clams ever taken away from me?

Yes, clams disappear when your account lapses or you don’t buy any PPS scenes. Your clam balance resets to 0.

How do I know how many clams I have?

When logged in to the site, in the top right corner of any page, there’s a clam icon and a number – that’s how many clams you have to spend!

How can I see my clam spending history?

On the “Clams” tab of your My Account page (that link only works for only for logged-in users), you can see a balance and transaction history of your clams, including spends and awards.

When selecting media to support a fetish page proposal, consider how best to represent your idea.

We have four types of entities: Images, Shoots, Models, and Video Snippets.

Select the “entity type” that is specific, without being unnecessarily specific. The goal is to help other users find something they like, by directly linking to it.

A Fetish Page can contain multiple entity types, though typically one or two at most.

Entity types: Images

An image URL look like this (either of these are fine to enter on a Fetish page proposal):

https://www.abbywinters.com/nude_girls/geisha_balls/sondrine_3/images/stills/sondrine_006_3

https://hwcdn.abbywinters.com/member/Sondrine_Solo_2/sondrine_2/sondrine_2/r_sondrine006.jpg?token=2a923a8f5187c23d918de37f3742eeb6&ttl=1588292639&ip=true

Images are best when it’s one specific moment in a shoot, that generally does not apply to other moments in that shoot (or at least, this specific image represents it best, including technical considerations, model’s facial expression, lack of a distracting background).

Examples fetishes that are ideally suited to images include Feet, Full body standing nude, wet pussy, clitoris close-up. While other images in a shoot may show these attributes, only one image is going to do it best.

Example fetishes that are not suited to the Images entity type include:

  • Redhead. While an image does show a model with red hair, this attribute applies to the model as a person – she’s redheaded in all her shoots, so the entity type of Model is more suitable)
  • Outside in nature. While an individual image might be of a model outside, other people are probably interested in entire shoots that occur outside, so the entity type Shoot is more suitable.

Entity type: Shoots

A shoot URL looks like this:

https://www.abbywinters.com/nude_girls/geisha_balls/sondrine_3

A Shoot is a page on our site that links to all the media captured of a model (or several models) on a single day at a single place.

Shoots are suitable for fetishes that apply to most of both stills and video media.

Example fetishes that are ideally suited to the Shoots entity type include inserting a dildo, wearing tight jeans, girls having sex in nature. While Images and Video snippets may show these things, it will typically be many images / several video snippets, so selecting the Shoot entity is more suitable.

Example fetishes not suited to the Shoot entity type include:

  • Feet. While all models have feet, and they appear several times in every shoot, many images and most of the video will not include feet. Someone who’s interested in feet wants to go directly to media that shows feet clearly. The Image (or video snippet) entity type is more suitable.
  • Nipple slip. This is a specific event (when a nipple slips out from clothing and is visible). Sending a fan of this fetish to a whole shoot is just going to be annoying – they’ll have to look through 200-odd images and 35-odd minutes of video to find the moment they want! Instead, the Image (or Video Snippet) entity type is more suitable.

Entity type: Models

A Model URL looks like this:

https://www.abbywinters.com/nude_girl/svelte_redhead/sondrine

A Model page links to all the shoots this model appears in on our site. Model entities are suitable for attributes that apply to the model regardless of the shoot type or content or medium: it describes how she is.

Example fetishes ideally suited to the Model entity include redhead, rubenesque, enormous breasts, tiny breasts, puffy nipples, Australian. These attributes transcend finer-grained entity types like Images, Shoots or Video Snippets.

Example fetishes not suited to the Model entity type include:

  • Lesbian 69. Maybe this model appears in shoots with the 69 position, but listing a model on the “Lesbian 69” fetish page is just going to annoy other users. They would need to look through all the media of all her shoots to find the few 69 moments. This is better suited to Images and Video Snippets.
  • Menstruation. For the same reason, this is better suited to Images and Video Snippets.

Entity type: Video snippets

This entity type is not yet available. Expected release is July 2020.

When Video Snippets are released, you can specify a start and end timecode in a video (for example, “between 12m34s and 12m48s of this video“. A special URL will be provided that can be added to a proposed Fetish Page.

This is for things that are only or best shown in videos.

Example fetishes ideally suited to Video snippets include dancing, squirting, crawling nude, unbuttoning jeans, peeing.

Video snippets are intended to be short, 5 to 10 seconds maximum. Even if the action lasts longer than that, the goal is to provide a “hint” to others that around this time in the video, there is relevant material. Select the most-representative 5-to-10 second section of the video.

When a user clicks to see the snippet, they can navigate around the video to see the broader context, so that context should not be included in the Snippet.

Things that are not entities in this context

We have some Things on abbywinters.com that seem like they would be entities in this context, but are actually not!

The example links below only work for logged in customers. They will not work for a PPS user if they have not purchased that specific scene, or if the subscriber does not have access to the Solo site section.

Imageset galleries

For example. Imageset gallery pages show a “thumbnail” representing each image in a given imageset (usually several hundred). We consider that the Shoot entity can be used in any context an imageset entity could. A Shoot entity includes the video as well as still images.

Instead: Nominate an Image entity type if identifying a specific moment in the shoot, or nominate a Shoot entity type if this concept applies to the whole shoot.

Videos

For example. Video pages display a specific video, the video equivalent to an imageset gallery page. While it’s possible a video will contain material that is not shot in stills (typically, this is movement-based or conversation-based content).

Instead: Nominate a Shoot entity type, if it’s something that permeates the entire video (for example, outside in nature), or the Video snippet entity type for a specific moment (for example, a yoga move).

If you believe that these entity types should be able to be added to a fetish page, make your case to the Owner on garion.hall@abbywinters.com. 🙃
